Our Programs

In Westminster Public Schools, our Competency Based System focuses on student learning and achievement of each child individually, and students progress at their own pace. Our school focuses its curriculum on the mastery of the readiness level, which is aligned with Colorado School Readiness and the Colorado Early Learning and Development guidelines.

Our school also offers several unique programs and learning opportunities for our students:

• Parent volunteers have continued a take-home book program for all of our students.  
• All preschool classrooms implement the Incredible Year's social skills curriculum on a weekly basis in the classroom.
• Our literacy curriculum is designed for the common core standards, which include World of Wonders in preschool and Reading Wonders in elementary.
