Westminster High School Class of 2026 Celebrates Graduation in Boulder

Under the bright lights of the CU Events Center 364 Westminster High School seniors celebrated their graduation, honoring years of hard work, community support, and shared triumph. On their feet, family, friends and faculty clapped and cheered for the WHS class of 2026 on Thursday night, as hundreds of roses were tossed into the air marking the momentous achievement.

Westminster Public Schools Superintendent, Dr. Jeni Gotto, emphasized that success is a collective effort, noting, "This room is full of people who have been part of your story... Some believed in you before you fully believed in yourself."

Westminster High School's Principal, Maureen Bangsund, shared praise for her inaugural class as principal. “I’ve seen students show kindness when nobody asked them to. I’ve seen students hold themselves together through things that should have broken them,” Bangsund said. “I’ve seen students become leaders not because they were the loudest—but because other people felt safer, stronger, and better around them. That’s what I’ll remember about this class. Not perfection. But, character.”

Dr. Gotto’s final words, supportive and encouraging, reminded the students of their legacy. "You will always be part of Westy. You will always be part of the Pack... Tomorrow, the world gets bigger, but so do you."
