Get ready for Preschool!

Applications for the 2026/27 school year open December 15th!

4-year-olds

4-year-olds must turn 4 before October 1, 2026.
4-year-olds may pay a tuition fee based on UPK eligibility.
Families may qualify for more free hours based on a number of qualifying factors, per available funding. See more information here.
4-year olds must submit an application with WPS and a separate application through the UPK portal.
Placements for 4-year-olds will be sent out in March.

Colorado Universal Preschool

All children in Colorado can apply for up to 15 hours per week of tuition-free, high-quality preschool in their year before kindergarten through Colorado’s Universal Preschool program.

4-year-olds entering preschool for the 26/27 school year have a 2 step process:

3-Year-Olds

3-year-olds must turn 3 before October 1, 2026.
Most 3-year-olds qualify for free half-day preschool based on qualifying factors.
Placements for 3-year-olds will be sent out after 4-year-old placements in March.
